Little Shepherd Day School offers a
Christian curriculum where children and staff celebrate in
the Lord's blessings.
Prayers and Christian values are part of our
daily lessons ~ instilling the importance of loving oneself, our family,
and
our friends. We look for the goodness in the world and each other ~ thankful for the gifts God has given each of us.
Our teachers set good Christian examples
through their words and actions. "Acts of Kindness" among the
children and staff, teach them to share in the joy of doing something nice
for others.
Our Hands-On Bible Curriculum provides
active learning experiences, allowing children to embrace basic Christian
concepts.
Preschool Ages Toddlers and 2's
Our Hands-On Bible Curriculum presents
lessons in a fresh interactive setting that capitalizes on the toddlers
and 2 year old needs to experience life with all of their senses.
This curriculum allows them to learn about God, who made the world they
are so interested in exploring.
Through our interactive Bible Storyboards,
activities, games, and songs, children learn as they see, hear, touch,
taste and smell all of the exciting things that are happening in the
classroom. Each teacher guides the children through hands-on
activities and participates with them in the joy of discovery.
Preschool Ages 3's and 4's
Preschool ages 3's and 4's children will
work together to discover and explore Bible lessons. At this age,
the children can understand that Jesus loves and cares for them.
This basic understanding sets the stage for learning God's word ~ which
capitalizes on each child's need to experience life and helps them focus
on practicing kindness, patience, and cooperation.
As children assume unique roles and
participate in group learning activities, they begin to discover
firsthand, that God is present in all of our lives and loves us all for
who we are.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Ages
Pre-K and Kindergarten children are
presented with Bible lessons that are both fresh and interactive.
While the lessons continue to focus on the children's need to experience
life with all their senses, they are older now, and their abilities to
communicate both physically and verbally make the learning and sharing
even more meaningful.
The children discover Bible lessons in
creative, active ways that will capture their attention and keep them
coming back for more. |
