Meet Helen Hochstetter

"We help children develop a positive self-image, a curiosity about the world, and the joy of discovery."

Helen Hochstetter is the owner and executive director of preschools in the Western Chicago suburbs. She has been involved in the childcare industry since she completed her education and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Northwestern University in Evanston. She takes a special interest in each of her schools and maintains a very hands-on and open-door approach to the day to day operations as she works with what she feels is an outstanding group of teachers and administrative staff.

Helen’s interest and passion for her schools is evident at each location, from the outstanding curriculum and programs, homey and interactive environment, and the excellent and experienced people she employs, at every level of her operations. Helen stays very accessible to everyone’s needs behind the scenes.  She feels very connected to each of her employees and works very closely to maintain a bond of respect.

Helen is a huge fan of children!  "I love them all!" That single passion drives her each day in her focus and physical energy.  Helen is also an avid believer and active participant in physical fitness.  She exercises every day and believes in maintaining a healthy diet, along with getting outdoors to breathe in fresh air!  Helen feels so strongly about her own health that she created a unique curriculum piece called "Health Little Bits", designed specifically for preschool age children. Each health unit teaches children the importance of daily exercise, healthy diet, and how all of their body parts are supposed to work. Helen's hope is that little "learning seeds" will be planted in the minds of the children, that will stay with them throughout their adult lives.  We offer three separate units that we feel are important to each preschool-aged child:  "Nose to Toes" ~ "Ready, Set, Jump" ~ "Just a Bite" (click here to read more about them!)

Helen invites all parents to come visit her privately-owned preschools and meet with her seasoned directors and teaching staff.  She wants parents to be able to experience the activities and watch the children, during the flow of activity, on any given day.
