Circle Time: Each
week our Summer Program is centered around a theme. At Circle Time, we will
explore a variety of concepts through interactive discussions and
activities. Books, props, songs and finger plays are used to support
what we are learning and to make this time extra special. |
Nature Exploration:
Each day will find us investigating
nature right in our own backyard - with our "Nature Connections" curriculum,
nature walks, and gardening experiences. We will discover the many joys of
nature, as we dig for worms, catch bugs, plant seeds, examine feathers, explore
rocks, and make mud pies. Our daily activities will allow us time to appreciate
the true wonders of nature and find that summer is a season of discovery!
Interest Center Time:
We are always excited to find out what is in store for us when we visit the
interest centers! There are four fantastically-fun activities for us to explore.
Our interest centers relate to the theme or nature topic we are discussing for
the week. These activities provide tactile exploration, with a variety of media.
Children develop a better understanding of each exciting topic through these
hands-on experiences.
Sports Skill Development:
We will learn and play a variety of fun and
skill-developing games that will develop coordination, stability, and movement
skills ~ along with a positive self-image. These activities are provided in a
positive atmosphere focusing on participation rather than skill level. Our
abundant grassy backyard is the perfect place for us to run, jump, and play!
Snack and Free Play:
When it’s snack time, we will find a shady spot
to sit down and relax. We’ll enjoy some nutritious foods, along with some
social time with our friends. After snack, we’ll head to a play area for
more fun and games! Summer is a wonderful time to enjoy the outdoors!
Swimming and Swimming Instruction:

The pool is always a highlight of our day!
Swimming lessons are provided daily, weather permitting, in our heated (85°)
swimming pool, designed specifically for children. Our program offers both
beginning and advanced swimming instruction by a Water Safety Instructor.
Children have the opportunity to advance to various levels of stroke
development. The teacher is in the pool to assist the swim instructor, while the
pool is supervised by a Certified Life Guard. During the summer, we provide a
30-minute swim lesson every day that weather permits. Children learn a variety
of games and swimming techniques that are both fun and enabling, as they are
guided by a qualified team of swim professionals.
