STEM is an extensive part of Our Daily Curriculum.

Each classroom has a large variety of STEM equipment geared to their developmental level. This equipment is specifically designed to introduce and reinforce Science, Technology, Engineering and Math concepts at the preschool level.

Jack Hochstetter manages the STEM equipment and ensures the materials enhance the children’s experiences and understanding in each area. Jack makes sure the equipment is in good condition, replacing pieces as needed, and purchasing new materials as they become available.

Jack recently spent time building Lego structures with some of our pre-k friends. They followed step by step direction to build store fronts.

We Love Our Nature Program

Peter Pan Day Schools and Little Shepherd Day School have always valued the importance of incorporating nature into the daily curriculum for the children. For more than 50 years, Peter Pan has provided a nature-based curriculum to guide children in developing respect for the natural world, confidence in their knowledge of the world around them and to provide opportunities to interact with living creatures. Peter Pan strives to ensure that along with the excellent academic knowledge, the children will develop a stronger sense of self through their explorations with nature. With this in mind, each school has designated Nature Staff with specialized experience in environmental science.
